Check Connection from SAP to PAS
This topic provides instructions on how to check the connection by doing a ping via SAP Transaction Code SM59 and using the RFCs Connection Status tool in the PCMA main menu under Administration Tools.
Using RFCs Connection Status Tool
The RFC Connection Status allows the user to view the connectivity or errors between SAP and the RFC across clients or client specific. From the PCMA main menu, you can display RFC notification settings based on the selection which includes:
-
Main contact settings
-
SAP notification list
-
Connections logs
The connection status of RFC destinations may be displayed for any or all of the following:
-
Authorization RFC's
-
Settlement RFC's
-
Encryption RFC's
A traffic light indicates the connection status and a description of the RFC ping response will be displayed.
Procedure
-
From the PCMA main menu, select Administration > RFCs Connection Status.
-
Select the options desired to display.
-

Using SAP TCode SM59
Perform a ping from SAP to the PAS server. You must know the RFC Destination name. It should have the following naming convention:
“CC” + “_” + SAP system ID + “_” + SAP client + “_” + RFC purpose
For example, CC_DEV_010_AUTHORIZATION or CC_PRD_100_SETTLEMENT.
-
Execute SAP Transaction Code SM59, Configuration of RFC Connections screen.
-
Expand TCP/IP connections section.
-
Locate the appropriate RFC Destination and double-click to open it.
-
Click Connection Test. A results screen displays.
Registering PAS RFCs
The only way to register the PAS RFCs is to restart the PAS service using the drop-down menu on the bottom left corner of the PAS GUI.
