Transaction Credits and Voids

• Void

Both a Credit and a Void are performed from the Transactions Detail page.

Credit

• A credit is a separate transaction that returns a specified amount back to the available credit limit or account balance.

• A credit can only be performed for Transactions that are in a 'Complete' (400) status.

• Credits cannot be performed on prepayment nor $0 transactions.

• The credit option is only available for a Merchant user with the appropriate permissions.

Void

• A void is a cancellation of a transaction that prevents it from being settled.

• A void can only be performed for Transactions that are in an 'Authorized' (100) or 'Authorized Sale' (110) status.

• The void option is only available for a Merchant user with the appropriate permissions.

Credit Invoices are completely different that processing a credit. Buyer users process credit invoices. See Processing Credit Invoices.
