Close or Reset Batches

Batch maintenance is performed using the Batch Summary screen accessed from the Batches Report. This screen displays expanded information on the transactions in a batch. You can use the Batch Summary panel to close or reset batches. To open the Batch Summary screen, click a Batch ID.

The Batch Summary screen expands the batch into its component transactions to view and verify the batch organization. You can also isolate individual transactions within the batch and view the status.

This page may be blue or tan (pulling from the OLTP DB or RTP DB) depending upon how you navigated it. If you navigated to it from a live mode (blue) then it will be in live mode. If you navigated to it from a reporting mode page (tan) then it will be in reporting mode.

You must be in live mode to Edit a transaction. Only transactions in Authorized status can be edited.
It is important that you review the Close and Reset batch topics in detail. The Batch Close feature affects ALL transactions within a given batch and misuse of the Reset Batch feature could potentially result in multiple charges against your customer.
